Heavy’s Barbeque offers authentic Georgia BBQ and a whole lot more!

The signs on location for a business called “Stella’s Roadhouse” are relics from the feature film production of “Sweet Home Alabama” that took place on the site in 2002. The exteriors and some of the interiors of Heavy’s were transformed into Stella’s for the movie. A couple of shots from the inside of Heavy’s were recreated in a Hollywood studio to simulate its environment in a few scenes.

One customer review states that Heavy’s Barbeque is “…worth the drive and worth the stop if you’re anywhere near. Good BBQ, nice atmosphere.”
